FOR PARTNERS AND FUNDERS
A region works best when the ecosystem works together.
Greater Hudson Valley connects community lenders, investors, ecosystem partners, academic institutions, government agencies, and philanthropic funders to the region's business owners, and to each other. We add depth to what exists.
ON THIS PAGE
Community lenders, credit unions, and community banks.
Business service organizations, academic institutions, government, and economic development.
Individuals, foundations, philanthropic and mission-aligned investors.
LENDERS & FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
Better prepared borrowers. Deeper community reach.
Community lenders, CDFIs, credit unions, and community banks are the financial backbone of a healthy regional small business economy. Greater Hudson Valley connects you with the right business owners at the moments where your products fit, and routes the ones who need more time toward the resources that get them ready.
What partnership looks like
Referral partnerships
A trusted pipeline of business owners who match your product set, with structured handoff and follow-through.
Service agreements
CRA-aligned service agreements that fund the readiness work your future borrowers need, and give your loan officers a resource they can point to.
Loan officer support
A place to send business owners who are close to loan-ready, so the conversation with your team is easier when they come back.
If you are a community lender or credit union in the region and this fits how you think about your role in the community, please get in touch.
ECOSYSTEM PARTNERS
You run the programs. We route business owners to them.
Business service organizations, chambers, academic institutions, government agencies, and county economic development organizations are the working infrastructure of small business support across the region. Every one of you serves a piece of the picture. Greater Hudson Valley works alongside you.
How we work with partners
Referrals both ways
We route business owners to the programs and resources you already run, and we welcome the business owners you refer to our advisor network.
Co-marketing and convening
Shared visibility and joint events that help the region's business owners see the full picture of what is available to them.
Academic collaboration
Student capstones and applied research that produce useful outcomes for the region and hands-on experience for the students, in partnership with mission-aligned faculty and programs.
Government alignment
Coordination with county and state economic development partners on shared goals: business formation, resilience, and measurable regional outcomes.
If your organization serves the region's business owners in any of these capacities, we would like to talk. Get in touch.
FUNDERS & INVESTORS
A regional model built to become part of the infrastructure
Greater Hudson Valley is designed for durability. Revenue rests on service agreements with the region's lenders and ecosystem partners, and grows with earned membership from Founding Members and Founding Partners. Philanthropic support builds the connective layer well in the early years, so the model stands on its own after that. Mission-aligned investors who want capital to circulate in the region will find real opportunity here as the network deepens.
What we are seeking
Capital
For both returns-focused and mission-aligned investors, we are facilitating opportunities to invest in businesses in the region.
Patience
Connective infrastructure is worth building slowly. The best regional institutions were built across many grant cycles.
Networks
Introductions to the partners, peer funders, and national programs that can strengthen the coalition around this work.
Long-term partnership
Multi-year relationships build a durable regional support network that pays for itself over time and produces measurable outcomes at the business, community, and regional levels.
If you are a foundation, family office, or mission-aligned investor and this fits your priorities, we would welcome the conversation. Reach out.
A SHARED PREMISE
How can we work together?
Lenders want stronger borrowers. Investors want places to put capital that produce durable local outcomes. Ecosystem partners want expanded reach. Funders want durable impact. Government wants measurable regional outcomes. Business owners want people they can call. Every one of these goals is served by the same thing: a region where the resources that already exist find their way to the people who need them.
That is the work. If this fits your organization’s mission, we would like to talk.
THE COALITION
Building the coalition, deliberately.
Greater Hudson Valley is coming together as a regional coalition of academic anchors, financial institutions, ecosystem partners, and philanthropic supporters. Depth over speed.
